Dr. Zablotney: In his own words…

"When I was about 10 or 11 years old, I was playing ice hockey at the Johnstown War Memorial one night and another player struck me in the neck with his elbow and I went down like a sack of potatoes. I was in instant pain and couldn't move my neck. The coach and his wife crowded around me to help me off the ice and she suggested to me that I see a chiropractor (Thank you Mrs. Panarella!). Now I had no clue what a chiropractor was. I had heard my mother saying that she was going to her chiropractor before; I thought he was a special kind of mechanic and she was getting her van fixed! So I had no idea what I was in store for. My mother took me to her chiropractor and he did his spinal check up, took x-rays of my neck and started adjusting me. Within a week I was back to full neck movement with out pain. I kept going back because I noticed other things had improved as well; my concentration in school, my attitudes and behaviors, my upset stomach, and so on. As I was nearing the end of high school, chiropractic just seemed like a natural fit for me." "When I got to Palmer College in the summer of 2003, I had taken my first step into a truly larger world. I had no idea that chiropractic was so big and so deep and could help so many people with so many different problems just by restoring natural normal functioning to the nervous system. While I was at school, I learned nearly a dozen different adjusting techniques and of course received hundreds of adjustments from other doctors and fellow students. Even though chiropractic had helped me so much I still had problems, I was always nervous and would sweat profusely. I would sweat so badly that it could be the middle of January and I would be wearing shorts and STILL sweat through my shirt! And you could forget about the summer. I had practically no social life because I was always afraid of embarrassing body odors. As it turned out, my nervous system was functioning TOO MUCH! Then one day after a particularly good adjustment I noticed that I stopped sweating profusely. With the chiropractic care that I received while at Palmer, and that I learned how to practice, that is no longer a worry for me, I can even get up in front of a crowd and speak without breaking so much as a trickle of sweat! Chiropractic care can affect every aspect of your experience and completely change your quality of life. That is why I continue to have my spine regularly checked and well adjusted!"
